Matthew Cooperman is the author of the collections A Sacraficial Zinc(Paleiades/Lsu, 2001), which won the Lena Miles Wever Todd Prize, and Surge(Kent State, 1998), which won the Wick Chapbook Award. A new chapbook, Words About James is forthcomming in 2004 from Phylim Press. His poetry has appeared recently or is forthcoming in Verse, Denver Quarterly, VOLT, American Literary Review, Notre Dame Review, Pool, Gulf Coast, LIT, ACMand Quarterly West among others. A Fine Arts Woek Center Fellow, he was a founding editor of Quarter After Eight, an exploratory journal of prose writing. Cooperman has taught at Cornell College, Harvard University, and University of Colorado Boulder. He is currently an Assistant Professor of English in the MFA program at Colorado State University.
