Wild About Writing: Creating Artistic Journals

Please join us for our first children's writing workshop. Join us at the main library in Old Town for one of two 45-minute sessions in which local artist and art teacher, Tamara Sayre, helps children combine writing and drawing. The goal of this free workshop is to help children understand the expressive power and artistic dimensions of writing -- or, from a kid's point of view, how to have fun writing and drawing.

Each child will be provided with a notebook and eraseable markers. After a brief introduction to the session, children will be encouraged to create the first few pages of their artistic journals. Parents, friends, and family members are encouraged to take part in the session.
