From Short Story to Novel: One Writer's Progress and Process
Judy Doenges will discuss how a writer moves from crafting a short story to constructing a novel, paying particular attention to character and narrative. To illustrate, Doenges will read selections from her short fiction collection, What She Left Me, and from her novel-in-progess. She will also briefly discuss literary markets for short fiction and the process of turning a novel manuscript into a salable book.
