Leslee BeckerLeslee Becker

Leslee Becker is Associate Professor of English at Colorado State University. She received her B.A. in English from Cortland College. She earned M.A. degrees from the University of Vermont and from Hollins College. She earned her M.F.A. from the University of Iowa. She is a former James Michener Writing Fellow at Iowa and a Wallace Stegner Writing Fellow and Jones Lecturer at Stanford. Professor Becker teaches creative writing and has published a story collection, The Sincere Café. Her stories have appeared in The Atlantic, Ploughshares, Iowa Review, New Letters, Nimrod, The Gettysburg Review, Sonora Review, and elsewhere. She has won several prizes and grants, including the Katherine Anne Porter Fiction Prize, the Pirate's Alley Faulkner Society Prize, the Mid-List Press Award for Short Fiction, and the Ludwig Vogelstein Award.
