Wolves, Wanderlust, and the Wild, Wild West: New Adolescent Literature with a Rocky Mountain Attitude

Workshop Leader: Julie Robinson, jar2000@lamar.colostate.edu
Enrollment Limit: none

This two-hour interactive workshop invites teens, parents, and teachers interested in gaining a wider appreciation for adolescent literature to discuss and discover new titles relevant to our Rocky Mountain community. Drawing from many genres, themes, and archetypes, this workshop will focus on methods for choosing quality adolescent literature featuring wolves, travel, and the wilder side of the West. Incorporated into the discussion will be general information about quality adolescent literature, print and electronic resources for locating new titles, suggestions for organizing a personal adolescent literature library, and a chance to peruse a wide variety of titles consistent with the themes of the workshop.
