This workshop will lead participants through the major steps from the creation of a poem to its publication. We will go through the process together, from talking about poems we are working on, to putting finished poems into envelopes and sending them out to particular literary magazines and journals.
Stephanie G'Schwind, from the Center for Literary Publishing and Managing Editor of the literary journal Colorado Review, will talk about publishing creative work from an editor's perspective.
Students will need to bring copies of two poems that are giving them trouble for group critique, six copies of two finished poems plus twelve business-sized envelopes, and paper and pens for exercises.
